Cap Inspection & Line Monitoring Options
Improve your induction cap sealing quality with these inspection options
Enercon offers a wide range of inspection, detection and rejection accessories for your cap sealer to:
- Help prevent unsealed products from leaving your facility.
- Ensure your containers are properly sealed & prevent leaks, preserve freshness & provide tamper evidence.
- Provide additional operational safeguards when integrating a cap sealer into a conveyor production line.
These inspection & detection options are available with the Super Seal™ Pro and Super Seal™ Max cap sealers and provide quality assurance in detecting containers without foils as well as detecting cocked caps which can lead to down bottles and unsealed containers. Add an Enercon ejector to reject these faulty containers from the production line. The system can also monitor for stalled bottles and shutoff the induction sealer should this situation arise.
See below for more insights on these features and for applications requiring greater sensitivity for cocked caps, inspection of larger caps, and options for installing these features upstream see our Deluxe Cap Inspection.
Missing Foil Detector
If a container is missing its cap or liner it will be detected by the missing foil detector.
Stalled Bottle Detector
Detects when a bottle fails to exit the sealing head within a preset time. When this occurs, the sealer is automatically turned off and a "stalled bottle fault" is displayed on the screen of the system. Inclusion of a stalled bottle detector in a conveyor production line may prevent containers from remaining under the sealing head for extended periods, which may cause damage to the containers, lost product, and pose a safety risk when sealing flammable or combustible materials.
Bottle Backup Detector
Detects if bottles backup into the sealer from downstream. When this occurs, the sealer is automatically turned off and a fault is displayed on the screen of the system. Inclusion of a bottle backup detector in a conveyor production line may prevent containers from remaining under the sealing head for extended periods, which may cause damage to the containers, lost product, and pose a safety risk when sealing flammable or combustible materials.
Cocked Cap Detector
Senses a cap that is not properly seated. Prevents containers from colliding with the induction sealing head and creating a down bottle situation. Also identifies cocked caps which may not be providing the required torque for successful induction sealing.
Ejector Container Rejection
Containers without a foil or cocked cap can be ejected from the packaging line with an Enercon ejector or via a signal to your own rejection system.
LED Bottle Centering Guide
Provides precise centering point to align containers on the conveyor at the infeed and discharge of the station.
